I installed a previous version of this faucet in the middle of the 1990s; it featured a vertically sliding gate to divert water from the tub faucet to the shower riser. It also had donut washer valves. The flow rate steadily decreased to an undesirable level after decades of use. The shower head was just dripping. There was no improvement even after disassembling and scrubbing in acid for a whole night to remove hard water deposits. Thus, this new value was installed and bought. It features a ball valve to redirect water flow from the tub faucet to the shower riser, as well as 1/4 turn cartridge valves. Ah, Tad ah! Better than the previous valve's initial water flow rate, and when the ball valve is turned to redirect water to the shower riser, there is no leakage of water via the faucet. I'm happy I paid the extra $10 for this faucet's ball valve diverter rather than the vertically sliding gate diverter. This is an exceptional value with unmatched performance if you have an ancient claw foot bathtub with 3-3/8" hot-cold valve centers.

We purchased from gotonovo in September and October 2021 two Rain Shower systems with hand sprayer, one Clawfoot Bathtub system with hand sprayer and three sets of Bathroom Sink widespread faucets, all in oil-rubbed bronze. The quality and style of what was received exceeded even our most hopeful expectations. Our professional plumber installed all of these easily. The oil-rubbed bronze finish is very very nicely executed. Now we have been living with these for many months and find them equal to if not superior to any top-of-the line (Rohl, California Faucets, etc.) that we have specified in previous homes. Spend thousands more if you want to, but why? A tip: because these vintage/contemporary styled shower fixtures are very streamlined and stand away from the walls, they do not have integrated anti-scald feature. No problem, you can either engage your plumber or do-it-yourself to install at you hot water heater a "mixing valve" which lets you establish a maximum temperature for delivered hot water thro

The faucet was already installed in the current tub, so I skipped that step, but the rest went up without any problems. With simply a cordless drill and adjustable wrench, I was able to easily erect the structure after spending thirty minutes setting out all the parts in front of the tub. (I did also require a handheld tiny hacksaw to cut down the ceiling support rod). The instructions were completely useless. This worked beautifully and would have worked the opposite way as well. As long as you have a wall on one side and one end of the tub, you'll be OK. My tub was in a corner, with one long side and the back end against a wall and the faucet end and other side open without a wall. If my memory serves me properly, my tub measured between 57 and 58 inches in length. If that's the case, you need to get the 54" tub rather than a lesser one. It is important to consider the assembly sequence before installation, as failing to do so may require disassembling portions in order to attach a ring connecting to a different section.
